The EOC, the multisite hospital of Ticino, is present with its institutes throughout the entire cantonal territory for a total of 1,000 beds. Profile
The intensive care unit of the Regional Hospital of Lugano is the only unit in the Canton recognized by the FMH as a category A training center, awarded for three consecutive years (2014, 2015, and 2019) the prestigious SIWF-Award by the FMH for particular commitment in training.
Essential requirements:
- degree/diploma in medicine and surgery and specialization in intensive care medicine or equivalent title (for Italy specialization in Anesthesia and Resuscitation) with related registration in MedReg before starting work. For doctors with foreign titles: recognition by the Federal Commission for Medical Professions MEBEKO and related registration in MedReg before starting work is mandatory
- proven knowledge of the Italian language (required level at least B2) with related registration in MedReg before starting work, knowledge of other national languages and English is desirable
- work experience in intensive care units
- autonomy in managing critical patients in the intensive care unit
- strong availability and inclination to teamwork
- constructive and proactive attitude
- willingness to perform part of their activity at the Intensive Care Unit of the Regional Hospital of Mendrisio if necessary
- proficiency in IT tools.
