About the Role
We are looking for a final-year Engineering or Finance student (Master’s level or equivalent) to join our Sales & Key Account team for a six-month internship at our Basel MRO site.
Your main task will be to create a clear and reliable internal tool that brings together several information from different department into one place. This tool should help the team to make faster and more consistent decisions. To do this, you’ll combine engineering thinking, financial understanding, and a strong focus on usability. This tool will support management decisions on projects.
The goal is to build a smart tool intuitive and useful that people will enjoy using.
The Sales & Key Account Management team works closely with all departments at AMAC. We play a central role in coordinating complex aviation projects and making sure technical, operational, and commercial aspects are aligned. It’s a demanding environment that requires analytical thinking, attention to detail, and good teamwork.
Your daily tasks & responsibilities
- Review current data, tools, and workflows used within the team
- Collect and summarize requirements from different internal stakeholders
- Design and support the development of a simple, reliable, and user-friendly analytical tool
- Build a model that is accurate, transparent, and easy to maintain over time
- Focus on clarity and user experience in all aspects of the project
- Prepare documentation and train colleagues so the tool is smoothly adopted
The expertise you have & skills you bring
- Final-year Engineering (Master’s level or equivalent). or Finance student
- Strong interest in data analysis and understanding financial concepts
- Curious about the business and economic aspects of aviation
- Comfortable with concepts such as margin, efficiency, and cost structure
- Strong Excel skills
- Self-Proficiency / High autonomy in IT development (No IT expert support within Sales team)
- Very good attention to detail and a sense for clarity and usability
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Autonomous, proactive, and reliable, while being open to teamwork and feedback
- Solid understanding of business processes and industry-specific challenges
- Calm and adaptable, even when priorities change
- Fluent in English and French; other languages are a plus
- Genuine interest in aeronautics and the global aviation industry
