Chief Physician Intensive Care Unit

About the job

• You lead our intensive care unit both professionally and personnel-wise (administratively subordinate to the Chief Anesthesiologist, but professionally independent)
• You care for all patients in close interdisciplinary collaboration
• You ensure the specialist coverage of the ICU including on-call service together with specialists in intensive care medicine
• You maintain close and appreciative cooperation with the emergency department and other specialist departments such as surgery, medicine, and gynecology
• You train one to two assistant doctors (duration 3-6 months) in intensive care medicine and take over the teaching (medical training site category B for intensive care medicine)
• You actively participate in the training and further education of the medical team
• You contribute to quality assurance and the further development of intensive care standards

• You have a Swiss specialist title in intensive care medicine (or Mebeko recognition)
• You have solid experience in interdisciplinary intensive care medicine and possibly in one of the specialties anesthesia, surgery, internal medicine, emergency medicine, or pain therapy
• You are a responsible, team-oriented, and communicative leader
• You distinguish yourself through your proactive working style, flexibility, and assertiveness
• You enjoy leadership tasks and future-oriented projects with internal and external partners
• You have the talent and enthusiasm for practical further training and education of doctors and nursing staff
