About the job
The Zug Canton Hospital is dedicated to the health of the population of the Canton of Zug and the surrounding regions. Around 1,200 employees, including 180 in training and further education, work in various areas. Every year, we treat and care for over 11,500 inpatient and over 70,000 outpatient patients. More than 27,500 people are treated annually in the interdisciplinary emergency center. The spectrum of our Surgical Clinic includes general and visceral surgery, vascular and thoracic surgery. Attending physicians work in the fields of urology and ENT. We are a training center for Surgery B3 (3 years) as well as Visceral Surgery V2 (2 years). Our Surgical Clinic is looking for a Senior Physician Surgery from June 1, 2026, or by arrangement.Your Tasks
- Operative and conservative treatment of general and visceral surgical patients (excluding traumatology)
- Co-management of surgical patients in the interdisciplinary intensive care unit
- Participation in senior physician duty
- Teaching and supervision of assistant physicians
Your Profile
- Completed specialist training in surgery (or near completion)
- Open, flexible, and team-oriented personality
- You are motivated to engage in the training and further education of assistant physicians, medical students, and medical staff
- Interest in leadership and organizational tasks
