Your tasks:
- Conducting and evaluating comprehensive ophthalmological
- examinations, including the use of state-of-the-art devices such as
- slit lamps, funduscopy, ultrasound, and other imaging techniques.
- Planning and implementing individual therapeutic approaches for eye diseases, both conservatively (medication treatment, eye drops) and surgically
- (e.g., cataract surgery, retinal surgery).
- Conducting and aftercare of ophthalmological procedures.
- Cooperation with other specialists (e.g., internists, radiologists, surgeons) for the treatment of complex cases.
- Advising pet owners on diagnosis, treatment options, and postoperative care.
- Participation in clinical studies, attendance at scientific congresses and training, as well as sharing knowledge with the team through training and workshops.
- Guiding and supporting the assistant staff and promoting training and further education in the field of ophthalmology.
Your profile:
- Completed studies in veterinary medicine as a veterinarian with a recognized degree in Switzerland.
- Proven additional qualification or relevant professional experience in the field
of ophthalmology, ideally through further training or certification (ECVO / ACVO).
- Solid knowledge in ophthalmological diagnostics and treatment,
including surgical interventions.
- Experience with modern diagnostic techniques and technologies.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills for successful collaboration
with colleagues and clients.
- Empathy and patience in dealing with animals and their owners.
- Commitment to the highest quality and precision in all treatment processes.
- Good language skills in German, at least language diploma B2
- Flexibility, willingness to be on call (if required), and readiness to work.
