The Zurich University of Teacher Education actively shapes education, school, and teaching of today and tomorrow in teaching and research. The Entrance Level Department is responsible for the training of primary school teachers for school years 1-5 (kindergarten and lower level).

Practical professional training is a core element of the studies for prospective teachers. From the first weeks of study, students gain insights into the professional everyday life at public schools in the canton of Zurich and gradually take on more responsibility in designing lessons during their studies. PH Zurich and the school field pursue a common goal. They want to train teachers who perform well in the complex system "school." • Lateral leadership of a team of practice teachers at the cooperation school including quality development and assurance
• Acquisition, organization, and administration of practice placements as well as budget management
• Communication and coordination between the cooperation school and PH Zurich
• Building and maintaining a network with university representatives, school administrations, school authorities, and practice teachers at your own cooperation school
• Co-design of practical professional training at the cooperation school (exchange, further training, quality assurance) as an expert for school practice, together with mentors
• Participation in and organization of events at the cooperation school and at PH Zurich

• Employment as a teacher in the Glattal school district mandatory
• Several years of experience as a teacher at the target level and as a practice teacher
• Very good anchoring and networking in the staff at the schools belonging to the cooperation school
• Good organizational skills
• Flexible and constructive handling of different role expectations
• High resilience, flexibility, and enthusiasm for innovation
• Willingness and ability to communicate, especially proficiency in conducting conversations even in conflict situations
• Willingness to further qualify for this function
