About the job
The Natural History Museum of the Burgergemeinde Bern has made a name for itself in Switzerland and internationally with attractive thematic exhibitions. It is an educational family museum and unconventional events attract both young and old. In the scientific field, it works closely with the University of Bern.

You love hosting guests and taking responsibility for a small team? Then shape our museum café in the Natural History Museum Bern together with your team.
These are your tasks
- Responsibility for the operational management of the gastronomy team (small team)
- Implementation of a fresh and creative catering concept
- Creating the deployment plan taking seasonal fluctuations into account
- Responsibility for orders and invoice control
- Active participation in the daily operation of our museum café (approx. 30%)
- Ensuring and maintaining hygiene standards
- Ensuring a lean operation with business management thinking

The position is limited until summer 2028 because the entrance area and the museum café will be extensively rebuilt. The reopening is planned for autumn 2028. At that time, the function will be reassessed.
