Job tasks
- Establishment of a complete supplier selection process
- Implementation of the raw material strategy
- Ensuring project execution in line with quality, cost, delivery, and technical (QCDT) goals
- Supporting the supplier panel relationship (supplier workload, negotiation, specific agreement)
Description of key tasks
Establishment of a complete supplier selection process
- Preparation and execution of requests for quotations with suppliers
- Conducting project negotiations
- Monitoring the development of the procurement project QCDT and the legal project (FAI, Business Award, product development)
- Ensuring compliance with commitments from the work package
- Preparing the Business Award
- Promoting the Alstom Code of Ethics and adhering to the highest standards of ethical behavior.
- Coordinating the project with all trades
- Ensuring timely delivery and quality, especially during the ramp-up phase of the project
Supporting the raw material strategy
- Consolidating the demand for raw materials, inputs
- Actively participating in the development of the raw material strategy and panel
- Providing credits for differentiation
- Supporting the Commodity Manager during the tender phase
- Representing the goods towards projects, platforms, and solutions.
- Ensuring effective teamwork with internal customers and stakeholders in problem-solving
- Applying the Alstom procurement process and ensuring knowledge gain.
Building supplier relationships
- Supporting the relationship with global supplier panels
- Managing relationships with specific suppliers (negotiation, specific agreement, QCDT performance of the local supplier)
- Measuring supplier performance and developing it in coordination with the supplier quality team
- Properly assessing all high-risk suppliers and managing the corresponding risk mitigation plan
- Handling initial issues before escalation to supervisors
- Monitoring company engagement in social responsibility and deviations
- Respecting the Alstom Code of Ethics and policies
Performance measurements
- Savings P&L and costs until completion
- Non-compliance events and on-time delivery
- Panel situation supplier compliance rate
Required education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Business School
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Procurement / Purchasing
Desired knowledge/experience
• Technical understanding of relevant components;
• Knowledge in purchasing production materials/project purchasing;
• Negotiation skills (purchase contracts) and contract law knowledge;
