- in pediatric emergencies
- and in outpatient consultations
The GHOL Parents-Children unit consists of:
A pediatric service including:
· a medico-surgical and child psychiatry hospitalization unit with 8 beds
· a level 2A neonatology unit
· a unit with 2 pediatric continuous care beds
· a pediatric emergency pathway
· a specialized pediatric outpatient consultation
A maternity ward with 13 postpartum beds and a delivery block including 3 delivery rooms and 2 pre-labor rooms
Our care team consists of midwives, nurses, and nursing assistants who are committed to prioritizing the well-being of the child and their family.
Job description:
In your new role, your missions impact the quality of care for patients and their families. Your role will notably consist of:
· Ensuring comprehensive care for children and their families from birth (from 34 weeks) to 18 years old
· Managing pediatric emergencies (approximately 15,000 patients per year)
· Assisting the physician during specialized consultations
· Participating in the continuity of specific care in your units
· Evaluating, coordinating, organizing care and emergency situations
Required profile:
We are confident in your rapid success in your future role thanks to your:
· Strong interest in pediatric care from 0 to 18 years old
· Prior experience in pediatrics, neonatology, or pediatric emergencies is essential
· Dynamism, rigor, precision, a developed sense of observation
· Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary manner within a Parents-Children unit
Education level:
Bachelor of Science HES-SO in Nursing required or diploma deemed equivalent recognized by the Swiss Red Cross
A specialization in pediatric or pediatric emergency care (CAS/DAS in Child, Adolescent and Family Health, FSU training, pediatric nurse diploma) would be an asset
