Head Division Distribution (m/f/d)

As Head Division Distribution, you report directly to the Business Area Head Generation & Distribution. You are responsible for the strategic and operational management of the division as well as a safe, reliable, and economical network operation. In this key role, you actively shape the future of energy distribution. As Head Division Grid, you are also a member of the Management Board of the Generation & Distribution business area.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Strategic and operational management of the Distribution Division with a focus on safety, reliability, and economic efficiency
• Leadership of 500 employees as well as strategic management and assumption of board mandates in subsidiaries.
• Responsibility for operation, maintenance, servicing, and further development of distribution networks as well as compliance with all regulatory requirements
• Development and implementation of a forward-looking network strategy focusing on renewable energies, digitalization, and battery storage systems
• Further development of the third-party market business including engineering, operational, and system solutions with a focus on profitable growth
• Representation of Axpo in national and international committees as well as active shaping of the Business Area strategy

Profile & Requirements

• University degree in engineering, complemented by business administration knowledge or an MBA
• Many years of experience in leading complex organizations, ideally in the energy sector
• Solid electrical engineering expertise and experience in network operation
• Strong analytical skills as well as experience in change management
• Knowledge of digitalization of industrial processes
• Fluent German and English skills, French is an advantage
