The Vocational, Study, and Career Counseling of St.Gallen is a modern service center with 35 employees, dedicated to the needs of its clients. The team of the Study and Career Counseling department consists of seven employees responsible for the entire canton.
We are looking for a
Study and Career Advisor (m/f/d)
Starting June 1, 2026, or by agreement
Workload: 60%
Workplace: St.Gallen
What to expect
- Advising high school students on study and career choices
- Advising students on questions about career entry or study difficulties as well as career counseling
- Organizing and leading workshops and events
- Contributing to the creation of informational materials and counseling tools
- Research, short consultations, and information dissemination
- Collaboration with schools, universities, and other partner institutions
What distinguishes you
You
- have a completed university degree, ideally in psychology, pedagogy, social sciences, business administration, or a comparable field
- have completed or are undergoing further training in vocational, study, and career counseling
- possess solid knowledge of the education and labor market as well as a contemporary understanding of counseling
- confidently use digital applications and are open to the targeted use of modern AI tools
- work independently, structured, and solution-oriented and keep an overview even in demanding situations
- convince with high social competence, pronounced service orientation, and confident communication skills
