To learn more about our institution, take a few minutes to consult our 2024 retrospective by clicking  here .</p><p>The Department of Community and Primary Care Medicine (DMCPR) has the societal mission to enable access to quality care for all through proximity medicine, to ensure the management of minor medical and surgical emergencies, to promote prevention among citizens, to provide medical knowledge for judicial investigations, and to promote the health of travelers.</p><p> The Primary Care Medicine Service ensures outpatient care for adult patients under primary care medicine. This service also offers outpatient emergency medical services to the population. Within the framework of the HUG's general interest missions, it provides access to care for disadvantaged populations due to their age, social, economic, legal status (asylum seekers, those subject to non-entry in matters, undocumented persons, prisoners), or lifestyle habits; if necessary, the primary care medicine service also ensures the continuity of their care.</p><h4>Job Description</h4><p>The University Hospitals of Geneva are recruiting their new deputy physician responsible for the Health Asylum and Refugees Unit (USAR). In this role, you assume clinical, academic, and administrative responsibility for the unit and ensure its proper functioning.  </p><p>You coordinate and unite a multidisciplinary team composed of about forty medical, nursing, and administrative collaborators, guaranteeing the quality of care and supporting migrant patients facing situations of high vulnerability. </p><p>Your role is both operational and strategic. You conduct medical consultations and ensure the medical coordination of the Health Asylum Care Network (RSA) in collaboration with AMG and the General Hospice.  </p><p>You develop daily leadership based on support, valuing skills, and creating a caring and dynamic work environment. You unite your team around common goals, inspire trust, and mobilize energies to achieve ambitious results.  </p><p>You have a strong ambition for the academization of your position and actively contribute to scientific research in the field of migrant health. You lead study projects, publish, and develop the academic expertise of your unit. You participate in pre- and postgraduate teaching and collaborate closely with management to design and deliver quality training. </p><p>In this role, you represent the unit, the service, and the department with internal and external stakeholders. You develop strong partnerships and exert a positive influence by promoting cooperation and cohesion.  </p><p>You demonstrate empathy and humanity while maintaining perspective and appropriate emotional management, both for yourself and in supporting teams. Your leadership is characterized by a clear vision, the ability to lead change, and to establish a collaborative and innovative culture. </p><h4>Qualifications</h4><p>You hold the federal medical diploma or an equivalent title, as well as training in public health and social medicine. You have the right to practice or are eligible for such a right in the canton of Geneva. </p><p>You have confirmed experience in community health, with supervision of scientific work and management of multidisciplinary teams.
