Data Manager / Data Manager Open Government Data (OGD)
Office for Economy and Tourism | 80-100 % | Chur
The Data & Statistics Department at the Office for Economy and Tourism produces public statistics and develops topic-based economically relevant foundations for the canton of Graubünden. Furthermore, the department is currently expanding data management for the operation of Open Government Data (OGD) in the cantonal administration. The team acts as an important link between politics, administration, the public, business, and science with its function and existing data expertise.
We are looking to complement our team by January 2026 or by agreement with a Data Manager / a Data Manager Open Government Data (OGD)
Your area of responsibility
- Contributing to the expansion of the OGD offering and the operation of the cantonal OGD platform.
- Maintaining and publishing data on the OGD platform as well as describing it with standardized metadata.
- Preparing statistical and economic foundations for the thematic publications of the Data & Statistics Department.
- Creating dashboards and data visualizations.
- Implementing processes and standards for data collection, quality, and security as well as data management.
- Collaborating with internal and external administrative partners as well as other interest and professional groups to promote and further develop the OGD offering.
- Actively participating in the establishment of a cantonal OGD community and in the planning and execution of community events.
What we wish from you
- University or technical college degree in economics, information management, data science, or a related field.
- Good knowledge and experience in handling and processing data.
- Very good German language skills, good English skills, and knowledge of other cantonal languages is an advantage.
- Programming skills in Python and R are required.
- Basic knowledge in web development (CSS, HTML).
- Analytical thinking and attention to detail with a results-oriented working style.
- Innovative and independent personality who enjoys working in a team and loves challenges.
