Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer with deep expertise in HVAC and cooling systems to lead engineering initiatives, support critical infrastructure, and drive operational excellence. This role involves managing complex maintenance tasks, leading small-scale projects, and serving as a subject matter expert in mechanical systems across our facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Lead and support HVAC and cooling system projects from concept to completion.
- Ensure engineering initiatives meet performance, safety, and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including design, site engineering, construction, and operations teams.
System Operations & Maintenance
- Perform advanced maintenance and repairs on HVAC and cooling systems.
- Develop and review Scope of Work (SOW) documents for system upgrades and replacements.
- Conduct capacity planning and identify system limitations, proposing effective solutions.
Technical Expertise
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in HVAC and cooling systems.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
- Recommend system-level enhancements to improve reliability and efficiency.
Training & Development
- Expand team knowledge through vendor training, hands-on experience, and internal workshops.
- Lead training sessions and develop documentation for SOPs and technical procedures.
Policy & Procedure
- Contribute to the development and enforcement of engineering standards and policies.
- Participate in commissioning activities, design reviews, and facility audits.
Administration & Communication
- Support cross-functional teams and manage vendor relationships.
- Produce high-quality technical documentation and reports.
- Mentor junior staff and support team development.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Extensive experience in mechanical engineering with a focus on HVAC and cooling systems.
- Proven experience in capacity planning, system diagnostics, and performance optimization.
- Excellent project management and communication skills.
- Ability to work in high-pressure, mission-critical environments.
