Managing Director (m/f) - Zurich

Papa Joe's in the heart of Zurich is a lively and diverse establishment. It includes Papa Joe's American Restaurant & Caribbean Bar with 140 seats and the Hotel California with 19 rooms, which were freshly renovated in 2022. Additionally, the restaurant has a summer terrace with another 28 seats.

Managing Director (m/f)

for our restaurant Papa Joe's and Hotel California

Your profile:

• You have completed hotel management school, completed an apprenticeship in gastronomy, or have an equivalent education (experience in system gastronomy and at the reception is an advantage)

• You are a leadership personality, team-oriented, and know how to motivate employees

• You are a passionate salesperson and inspire guests with your friendly and open manner and your positive charisma

• You are between 25 and 40 years young

• You enjoy working evenings and also on weekends

• Your native language is German or you have very good German and English skills in spoken and written form

Your area of responsibility:

• Administrative and organizational tasks are no problem for you

• Ordering F&B and daily accounting for both establishments

• Goods receipt and inspection

• Inventory recording of F&B as well as non-food items (dishes/restaurant materials) of both establishments

• Recording inventory in EezyTool

• Controlling in the F&B area (returns/storage/expenses)

• Active presence and assistance in the restaurant and reception (breakfast, lunch, and dinner service, check-in / check-out, various hotel administrations)

• Achieving the return target

• Impeccable stock management (FIFO/cleanliness/stock levels)

• Assistance with menu design, mailings, specials

• Training of kitchen, service, hotel, and bar staff

• Smooth communication with employees
