For our gardening team in Stein AG we are looking for a
Gardener EFZ in Plant Production (m/f/d)
As a gardener in research biology, you grow plants from seed to delivery size for colleagues in research and thus contribute to ensuring research activities in Stein.
Tasks:
- Growing high-quality plant material as a basis for excellent and reproducible biological experiments
- Performing all gardening tasks such as sowing, pricking out, repotting, and watering, including all ancillary work.
- Independently and regularly monitoring and checking plant cultivation for the occurrence of disease and pest infestation
- Optimizing existing cultivation methods for crops in consultation with the team leader
- Periodic Sunday and public holiday duty
- Opportunity to supervise smaller technical projects
- Respecting all safety-related work regulations
- Working in a small and efficient team

Requirements:
- Completed training as an ornamental or potted plant gardener or equivalent training
- Ideally experience in growing various crops under greenhouse conditions with very high quality requirements
- Good powers of observation
- Openness to new things
- Good German skills as well as at least basic knowledge of English, spoken and written
- Good Microsoft Office user skills
