Job description
The industrial management controller is responsible for monitoring and optimizing production costs, analyzing industrial performance, and implementing management tools to improve profitability. As a management partner of the operational teams at the Yverdon and Neuchâtel sites, their missions will be as follows:
Develop and monitor industrial budgets:
• Calculate and optimize cost prices on an annual basis. Review the related policy in close collaboration with the industrial teams.
• Analyze and reduce industrial variances on a monthly basis: differences between forecast and actual (costs, volumes, yields, absorption, purchase mass, etc.);
• Implement any procedure to optimize data reporting processes;
• Set up and monitor performance indicators (KPIs);
• Participate in the development of cost prices and margins;
• Be involved in profitability studies of programs and projects and drive performance, implementing appropriate impairment tests;
• Contribute to improving reporting and information systems;
• Ensure the reliability of financial and industrial data in collaboration with operational teams.
• Prepare any ad-hoc analysis and corrective actions for the Management Committee;
• Manage stock values and their obsolescence with Operations teams on a monthly basis. Provide a shared vision to Management;
• Be an actor in optimizing the VSM, identify and reduce the financial impacts of bottlenecks, variability, and waste;
• Actively participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual account closures; support the Finance team as a backup;
• Be an active contributor to annual external audits and the internal control process in place;
Candidate skills & requirements
Profile sought
• University degree in economics/finance/accounting or federal diploma specialist in Finance & Accounting or equivalent
• Mandatory mastery of SAP (FI-CO, MM, PP), MS Office suite (Power BI a plus);
• Experience in an industrial environment (automotive, pharmaceutical) with high variability is an asset;
• English C1;
• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial management control, projects, etc.
