In the interest of employees and companies, the Office for Work (AFA) contributes to strengthening the location of Zurich. The AFA consolidates labor market policy competencies. Around 650 employees are active at over 20 locations. The Unemployment Fund (ALK) is a service organization of the Office for Work (AFA). The ALK's mandate consists of clarifying entitlements as well as calculating and disbursing benefits from the unemployment insurance (ALV). To strengthen the existing management team of the Unemployment Fund of the Canton of Zurich, we are looking for a committed leadership personality. Your workplace is in Leonardo in Oerlikon, and you will start your new challenge on November 1, 2025, or by agreement.

Your tasks:

• Professional and personnel management of a team of about 7 employees
• Responsibility for the uniform service delivery processes and quality standards
• Ensuring compliance with legal requirements, especially AVIG
• Active participation in the management team of the ALK as well as in cross-departmental projects
• Consultation and support for internal and external stakeholders
• Involvement in day-to-day business with a dossier

Your profile:

• Minimum 3-year federal recognized vocational training and further education in the field of social insurance is an advantage (federal social insurance certificate or CAS social insurance)
• Proven professional experience in AVIG implementation, preferably in the area of unemployment compensation
• First leadership experience is an advantage
• High practical orientation and ability to support the team professionally
• Strong analytical as well as solution- and process-oriented skills combined with implementation strength
• Winning and communicative personality with initiative, assertiveness, and decisiveness
• Binding, efficient, and independent working style with an entrepreneurial and networked overall view
• Appreciative and respectful interaction with stakeholders
