Your Role
As a Financial Accountant – Accounts Receivable & Billing, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate, timely, and transparent financial operations at ICS. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for end-to-end billing and accounts receivable processes, working closely with families and internal stakeholders in line with the four-eyes principle.

What you will do
Daily Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date student and family master data
- Prepare, calculate, and process billing runs for tuition fees, transportation, lunches, and other school services (e.g. extracurricular trips)
- Communicate professionally with parents and clients regarding billing inquiries and overdue accounts
- Process daily incoming payments and bank transactions in Abacus (ERP system)
- Manage petty cash and oversee bank accounts in multiple currencies.
Periodic & Ongoing Responsibilities
- Execute monthly dunning runs and actively support collection management, including special payment arrangements
- Calculate and invoice annual fees based on cooperation agreements
- Perform monthly and quarterly account reconciliations
- Conduct revenue reconciliation, debtor analysis, and aging reviews
- Prepare monthly enrolment and school services reports in collaboration with the Admissions Office
- Support quarterly VAT reporting and submissions
- Assist the Finance Manager with monthly financial reports and Board reporting
- Support the annual financial close and preparation for the external audit
- Maintain and update price lists
- Act as system owner for the Abacus A/R module, ensuring correct usage and data integrity.

Our Requirements
- Commercial education (e.g. KV, Bachelor) with further qualification in Finance & Accounting (Fachausweis or FH/HF)
- Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in a school, non-profit, or service-oriented environment
- Solid knowledge of Swiss GAAP and internal controls
- Advanced MS Office skills; experience with Abacus is a strong advantage
- A valid Swiss working permit and living at in the Zurich area
- Fluent in English and German, both written and spoken
