Your Tasks
- Professional leadership of the kitchen team (goods receipt / storage, production, meal distribution, and value preservation measures)
- Personnel management of the kitchen team (promotion, training, and development of the team, including onboarding of new employees)
- Ensuring a varied menu design considering seasonal, dietary, cultural, and individual requirements, in close cooperation with the involved departments
- Forward-looking duty planning and ensuring compliance with legal requirements
- Organization and optimization of workflows, personnel, and material costs
- Responsibility for overall cost management in the kitchen including budget planning and control
- Ensuring HACCP, hygiene, and food safety standards; implementation of quality management measures
- Participation in menu development, meal distribution, menu selection, as well as consideration of allergies/intolerances
- Participation in projects for patient catering, optimization of processes in the hospital kitchen operation
Your Profile
- Completed professional training in the kitchen (e.g., cook EFZ), further training as head chef with a federal diploma
- Several years of leadership experience, ideally in healthcare or large kitchen environments
- Sound knowledge in nutritional therapy, dietetics, and patient-related diet management; vocational trainer course for hospitality and gastronomy and experience in training apprentices
- Strong leadership skills, teamwork ability, communication skills, as well as taking over duty planning
- Willingness to take on weekend and on-call duties
- Organizational skills, cost awareness, structured working method
- Resilience, flexibility, and sense of responsibility
- Good German skills; additional language skills advantageous
