Teacher of Religious Studies

The Graubünden Cantonal School is an important educational institution with about 1000 students from all three cantonal languages. As a section of the Office for Upper Secondary Education, it offers upper secondary school training cycles at the high school with long and short education as well as at the specialized school, commercial middle school, and computer middle school. As a teacher of religious studies, you teach students at the lower high school level.

For our school, we are looking for a teacher of religious studies starting August 1, 2026.

Responsibilities

Teaching the core subject of religion at the lower high school. The subject does not include religious teaching linked to a confession but addresses the topic of the historical development of religions and their function for societies, groups, and individuals
Organizing and conducting project weeks, class events, and excursions in teams with other teachers
Taking on various tasks within the team of teachers of the same subject
Collaborating on development projects for the entire school

What we expect from you

University degree in religious studies and teaching diploma for maturity schools
Experience teaching at the upper secondary level as well as qualification in an additional subject is an advantage
You are a flexible person, proactive, able to work in a team, and enjoy working with young people. We are also looking for a communicative person who takes responsibility and is happy to engage in school life
Knowledge of other cantonal languages completes your teacher profile at the trilingual school
