About the job

The Weinfelden Senior Center specializes in the care of senior women and men. In total, we have 109 places in the nursing area and 20 senior apartments, which can be supplied with in-house Spitex services if needed. We also operate a hospice apartment and are certified in palliative care. Appreciation, empathy, and professionalism for the well-being of our residents – passion for us in care, support, and hospitality. Our dedicated housekeeping team provides professional cleaning and laundry services.

We are looking for a committed, professionally skilled, and competent individual as Team Leader Housekeeping (60-100%) starting 01.06.2026 or by arrangement.

Main tasks

• Responsibility for the housekeeping department with about 14 employees (cleaning, laundry, external services for 20 senior apartments)
• Procurement of products and equipment
• Operational organization including personnel planning
• Compliance with and control of the budget
• Responsibility for seasonal decoration of common areas
• Quality assurance and further development of the department
• Support in daily business
• Responsibility for training in the housekeeping department

Requirements

• Completed professional training as a head of housekeeping-hospitality FA or comparable education and training
• Several years of professional and leadership experience in a home or hospital is an advantage
• Joy and understanding in dealing with our residents
• Confident German language skills in speaking and writing
• Strong entrepreneurial thinking
• Enjoyment of interdisciplinary and cooperative collaboration
• Reliability, flexibility, and initiative
• High social and communication skills, intercultural competence
• Good ICT user skills
