• The OENT of the SPCH is responsible for ensuring the viability and sustainability of the road network in the canton of Neuchâtel, guaranteeing and improving user safety as well as planning and executing road development and heavy maintenance work.
• As part of your role within division 2 of the OENT, you will work in a team performing various roadworks such as maintenance of pavements and green spaces, snow removal and salting of roads during the winter period, as well as small civil engineering and masonry tasks. You will also contribute to the maintenance of watercourses and the structures within them. Other tasks may complement your activity, including maintenance and work around buildings used by the service.
• You have experience in maintenance work related to green spaces or civil engineering. Mastery of heavy vehicle driving is an advantage. Otherwise, you are motivated to obtain a heavy vehicle license during employment, with financial support from the service. You enjoy outdoor activities and demonstrate a true team spirit, while adapting to variable schedules, especially during the winter period. Comfortable with the demands of an on-call service (standby duty), you know how to make decisions when necessary. Good physical condition is essential, with a medical examination planned before your hiring. You hold driving licenses B and BE, and ideally C and CE. Your residence is close to the workplace, allowing you to respond quickly if needed.
