You have completed a vocational apprenticeship (EFZ) and are looking for a new challenge with responsibility and variety? Then join us! We offer you the opportunity to train as a bus driver – with full support from our experienced team.
Workplace: Worblaufen
Training start: Spring 2026
Workload: 100% during training, at least 80% during the first 3 years after completing the training
How to become a bus driver
- You submit your complete application online: motivation letter, CV, work and interim certificates, copy of EFZ diploma, copy of driver’s license (front and back), criminal record and IVZ extract
- We review your application and if interested, you will be invited to an introductory interview
- You pass the medical fitness examination with our trusted doctors
- You receive your employment contract from us
- You pass the theory exam before your first working day
- You begin our internal intensive training and are trained as a bus driver within one month and then trained on our route network for one month
- You perform driving duties on our bus network in the Bern agglomeration

What you bring
- A completed vocational apprenticeship (EFZ)
- You are at least 21 years old and have held a category B driver’s license for at least 3 years
- A good traffic record (IVZ extract / formerly ADMAS)
- Enjoyment in dealing with people and driving
- Reliable, responsible, and friendly personality
- Willingness to work irregular hours
- You understand Swiss German well
- Your residence is in Switzerland (since you work in shifts, your place of residence and the associated commute to work are important, and a regional residence is an advantage)
