The R&D Engineer will drive projects from prototyping and process technology development to pilot line development and final design transfer to production, while providing solutions for complex issues as part of the R&D team.
Your responsibilities
- Developing the design of new catheters from conception to complete product. Process development and characterization.
- Collaborating with cross-functional team members throughout product development phases to ensure program success.
- Supporting change activities in existing product lifecycles.
- Making data-driven decisions using appropriate analytical and statistical methodologies.
- Performing root cause analysis of new and existing products and processes
Job requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in product/process R&D in the medical device industry, experience with building catheters and/or angioplasty catheters is an advantage.
- Hands-on problem solving attitude.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks – an advantage.
- Experience working with metals/polymers and various manufacturing methods such as laser welding, CNC machining, and surface finishes and medical coating technologies.
- Swiss work permit / European citizenship is a must.

- Proficiency with FDA QSR/cGMP and ISO 13485 requirements — an advantage.
