DESCRIPTION
Mandat International is looking for an enthusiastic and qualified researcher with strong skills in communication and an excellent level of English to support European research projects and to lead their outreach and communication activities. We offer a multi-disciplinary and highly stimulating work environment where you will be working in close cooperation with top research teams, industry professionals, and other stakeholders. Mandat International is based in Geneva and offers remote and flexible work opportunities for candidates based in Switzerland, part time or full time.
DUTIES
- Leading outreach, communication, and dissemination activities for research projects, including the development and implementation of communication strategies and campaigns
- Coordinating communication activities and regular meetings with external project partners
- Representing the organization in project consortium meetings and plenaries
- Planning and organizing conferences, workshops, webinars, and other dissemination events
- Managing and disseminating content via social media, websites, and newsletters
- Promotion of project events, results, and services through social media and other communication channels
- Updating and managing webpages and website content
- Preparing and updating visual content, including banners, flyers, leaflets, logos, etc.
- Video recording and editing (i.e., interviews, events)
- Contacting and engaging with journalists, media, and partners
- Writing, reviewing, and editing publications and deliverables in English
- Participating in research activities and supporting the preparation and submission of new research proposals
REQUIREMENTS
Essential:
- Master’s degree or equivalent
- Excellent level of English (C1), both written and spoken
- Experience with social media communications and website content management systems
- Strong interest in international cooperation and innovative technologies
- Capacity to work autonomously and in a team
- Sense of responsibility and strong attention to details
For administrative reasons related to the funding of the position, the candidate must be officially domiciliated and living in Switzerland.
Desired (not required but a plus):
- German, French, and Latin are a plus
- Prior experience working with European research projects
- Experience working with journalists and other media
- Education in law, international relations, or sustainable development are a plus
- Knowledge of French, Spanish, German, or Italian
- Ability to use Adobe Suite, in particular Adobe Illustrator, and/or other design applications
- Experience with WordPress and/or Drupal and languages such as PHP and HTML5
