Job description
Mission:
Within the socio-cultural animation service and in close collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, the Socio-educational Assistant (ASE) participates in the overall support of the residents.
He/she actively contributes to their well-being, the maintenance of their autonomy and social identity, by offering individual and collective activities that make sense throughout their life journey in the EMS.
Main responsibilities
- Create and maintain a close relationship with the residents and promote their integration within the institution
- Propose, organize and lead individual and collective socio-cultural activities adapted to the capacities, needs and interests of the residents
- Support residents in certain daily life activities by promoting their autonomy, respecting their dignity
- Implement specific activities for people with cognitive disorders
- Participate in the development of the animation program and the annual projects of the service
- Ensure close social follow-up and document observations in the residents' computerized file
- Participate in interdisciplinary approaches and, depending on the organization, assume a role as animation referent for a care unit
- Actively collaborate with families, relatives, volunteers and external stakeholders
- Contribute to the institutional dynamics, events and manifestations of the EMS
Profile sought
- Federal Certificate of Capacity (CFC) as Socio-educational Assistant (ASE)
- Professional experience in EMS or in the field of elderly care
- Good knowledge of the specificities of old age and cognitive disorders
- Good knowledge of the Geneva/Carouge socio-cultural network
- Good command of spoken and written French
