The Public Health Office is a central service of the Department of Justice, Security and Health of the Canton of Graubünden. It implements the directives of federal and cantonal law and thus makes a substantial contribution to high-quality, safe, and future-proof healthcare at the cantonal level.
The office is divided into the following specialist areas: authorizations and supervision of professions and institutions in the health sector, cantonal medical service, control of medicines and narcotics, finance and controlling, health promotion and prevention, as well as the central emergency medical call center of Graubünden.
To strengthen our team, we are looking for a motivated and experienced professional with a federal diploma in dentistry willing to competently support the office in dental supervision as well as in specialist and health policy matters.
- Advice and support to the office regarding health police supervision in dental medicine matters (especially supervision of the professional activities of dentists)
- Collaboration regarding the control of compliance with professional obligations
- Conducting inspections in practices and companies
- Preparation of opinions and reports in case of violations of health police regulations
- Information to practicing dentists about their professional obligations
- Supervision of the school dental service
- Collaboration in the preparation of opinions within the framework of consultation procedures at federal, intercantonal, and professional association levels concerning regulations in the field of dental medicine
- Intercantonal exchange as well as representation in working groups
- Federal diploma in dentistry and several years of professional experience in Switzerland
- If possible, practice activity in the Canton of Graubünden
- High social skills, ability to work in a team, and flexibility
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Independent, analytical, and precise working method
- Interest in health policy issues
- Knowledge of Italian is a preferred qualification but not a requirement
