The Office for Commercial Register and Notaries maintains a public register in the area of the commercial register and performs notarizations in commercial register matters, matrimonial property, and inheritance law. Furthermore, the notary office is active in the field of administrative inheritance law and is responsible for inheritance security measures as well as official inheritance divisions.
We are looking for a
Clerk Front Desk Notary (m/f/d)
Starting May 1, 2026, or by agreement
Workload: 80-100%
Workplace: St. Gallen
What to expect
- Providing information and advice to customers in inheritance and commercial law (phone/reception)
- Processing incoming mail and info emails
- General secretarial tasks such as scheduling appointments for department heads, reception, and answering phone calls and handling them
- Certification of signatures for internal and external use
- Preparing inheritance-related documents (opening of wills, inheritance certificates) up to signature readiness with independent execution of related inheritance investigations
- Preparation of public documents and certifications
- Co-supervision and training of apprentices
What distinguishes you
- Completed commercial or comparable training
- Preferably professional experience in reception or customer service
- You are a dynamic person with a high willingness to learn and respond flexibly to different and changing situations
- Professional interaction with customers
- Precise and customer-oriented working style
- Linguistic fluency (German) in spoken and written form, knowledge of other languages is an advantage
- With your knowledge and skills, you contribute to good collaboration and further development of the team
