Your entry:
At the beginning, you will be comprehensively trained on the Waldenburgerbahn – you will get to know the route, the vehicles, and the operation in the upper Basel region.
The Waldenburgerbahn is modern, technically pioneering – and will be further developed in the coming years into one of the first autonomous rail services in Switzerland.
Your training lays the foundation to take on an important role in this exciting future.
After your training on the Waldenburgerbahn, we offer you further training to become a train driver and/or a bus service employee including driving training category D. This makes you flexibly deployable.
Your tasks
- Safe and punctual transportation of passengers
- Responsible and anticipatory operation of the modern vehicles in our fleet (tram and bus)
- Friendly and service-oriented customer contact during the journey
- Compliance with service and quality standards
- Observation of the route and timely reaction to special situations
- Adherence to timetables, traffic rules, and safety regulations
- Reporting disruptions or incidents to the control center
- Responsibility for cleanliness and safety in the vehicles
- Contributing to a smooth operation in public transport
Your profile
- Completed vocational training EFZ or equivalent education
- At least 21 years old
- Very good German skills in spoken and written form (level C1)
- Impeccable reputation
- Driver's license category B (category C to D advantageous)
- Experience as a professional driver or rail vehicle driver is an advantage
- High willingness to learn and motivation to successfully complete training on tram and bus
- Reliable, flexible, and resilient – even in challenging situations
- Professional and confident handling of passengers
- Good technical understanding and enjoyment of driving and handling vehicles
- Team player, responsible, and attentive
- Willingness to work on bus and tram as well as irregular working hours
- You enjoy direct customer contact and convince with a high level of social competence
