The Restaurant Volkshaus Zürich stands for traditional and authentic cuisine. The products used mainly come from organic production. In our spacious bar and restaurant areas, with a total of 260 seats, the charm of the 1920s meets modernity. A place to experience urban hospitality. The many events at Volkshaus contribute to making the Restaurant Volkshaus a lively and highly frequented establishment. The fully equipped and modern banquet and event rooms of the Volkshaus offer space for about 2,000 people. With over 2,500 events per year (national and international music top stars, party labels, classical concerts, general meetings, theater performances, banquets, and seminars), the Volkshaus is one of the most important and well-known venues in the city of Zurich.

We are looking for a motivated cook (m/f/d) to support our team and delight our guests with culinary delicacies.
Your tasks:
- Preparation of traditional Swiss dishes with fresh, regional ingredients
- Independent management of one or more stations
- Mise en place work for the à la carte service
- Support in training our apprentices
- Creative design of seasonal menus
- Ensuring high quality and presentation of dishes
- Compliance with hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen
- Collaboration with the kitchen team and support
Requirements:
- You have completed basic training as a cook EFZ and/or professional experience as a junior cook or chef de partie
- Experience in preparing Swiss dishes is an advantage
- Passion for gastronomy and enjoyment in handling food
- Resilience and flexibility, even in stressful situations
- Teamwork, creativity, independence, and reliability
- You communicate well in German
