The gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition department manages, on diagnostic and non-surgical therapeutic levels, patients suffering from diseases of the digestive tract, liver, bile ducts and pancreas, taking into account the services provided by other HUG departments. It provides interventional endoscopic, percutaneous and transhepatic services for the aforementioned organs
Job Description
You conduct research activities aimed at increasing scientific knowledge and developing practical applications. You support ongoing clinical studies and ensure the follow-up of included patients. You complete and update the various databases necessary for research projects.
You ensure the operational coordination and follow-up of patients included in the Swiss MASLD (Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatotic Liver Disease) cohort, in compliance with the research protocol and current guidelines.
In this context, you participate in managing patient inclusions and follow-up, contributing to recruitment, inclusion visits, collection and storage of biological samples (biobanking), as well as longitudinal follow-up of participants (phone contacts and appointment organization).
You are the main contact point for other Swiss centers participating in the study and contribute to multicenter coordination.
You are responsible for the rigorous collection, entry and updating of clinical data in electronic databases (eCRF), notably using REDCap software.
Finally, depending on the department's needs and your availability, you provide transversal logistical and administrative support to ongoing clinical research studies within the gastroenterology department.
Qualifications
You hold a Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field or biology.
You have research experience (minimum 2 years) as well as experience with scientific and technical literature in the field. You have writing skills in French and English.
You have good proficiency with IT tools; knowledge of HUG software would be an asset, especially DPI.
You are a conscientious and committed person.
For non-French speakers, a C1 level in spoken and written French is required.
