About the job

The city of Aarau, as a forward-looking and modern employer, relies on motivated employees. Aarau is a lively city with approximately 22,000 inhabitants. The Society Section deals with issues related to children, youth, family, elderly, and integration policies.

The municipal integration promotion understands the integration of migrants as a cross-sectional task of all specialist departments. It is complemented by the Regional Integration Office (RIF) Aarau, which follows the regular structure approach. The RIF Aarau is a joint project of the canton and eleven participating municipalities with a total population of around 78,000 people (Aarau, Biberstein, Buchs, Hirschthal, Hunzenschwil, Kölliken, Küttigen, Muhen, Oberentfelden, Suhr, Unterentfelden) within the framework of the Cantonal Integration Program (KIP) Aargau. The office is considered a regional competence center for questions concerning integration, asylum, diversity, and anti-racism: www.integrationregionaarau.ch.

For the RIF Aarau, we are looking for a motivated person to start immediately or by arrangement, temporarily until the end of April 2027.

We are a small, committed team that works at the interface between politics and practice for equal opportunities and inclusion and incorporates critical perspectives on racism. We offer an exciting and challenging activity with plenty of room for creativity and initiative, as well as employment in the Society Section of the city of Aarau with flexible working hours.
