Kandersteg is a true natural paradise – in summer an Eldorado for hikers and those seeking relaxation, in winter a insider tip for cross-country skiing and ski enthusiasts. The charming mountain village in the heart of the Bernese Oberland is easily accessible – by train or via well-developed roads.
In the middle of the village: the Belle Epoque Hotel Victoria.
Our traditional house is centrally located in Kandersteg, has 120 beds and is the largest hotel in town. The hotel includes two restaurants: our stylish à la carte restaurant Ritter (No. 1 in town on Tripadvisor) with 70 indoor seats and a generous sun terrace as well as our Belle Epoque Restaurant Le Victoria. The offer is complemented by a lounge bar, an indoor pool and a spacious park.
The kitchen is led by Michel Brossard, an award-winning and decorated head chef as well as a member of the Cercle des Chefs de Cuisine Bern. Our cuisine stands for craftsmanship quality, clear lines and an honest, contemporary kitchen.
From approx. May 10, 2026 we are looking for you as Sous Chef (m/f).
Optionally, there is the possibility to become part of our kitchen team already during the winter season 2025/26 as part of a trial deployment.

As Sous Chef, you are the right hand of the head chef and share responsibility for the smooth running of the kitchen. You actively contribute your experience and help shape processes and workflows.
Your tasks:
- Deputy management of the kitchen in the absence of the head chef
- Professional leadership and support of the kitchen team
- Active participation in daily operational business
- Ensuring quality, hygiene and safety standards (HACCP)
- Participation in menu planning, ordering and control of goods
- Training and education of employees and apprentices
