The Evangelical Church Community of Weinfelden is a vibrant church community with around 4000
members. It reaches a wide range of people throughout the city with its offerings and is there for the needs of our
society with its diverse forms of church life. Our cooperation with around 200 volunteers is shaped by the guiding principle "Close to
God - Close to the people".
Due to the upcoming retirement of the current position holder, we are looking for a
pastor or deacon 80% for our team from May 1, 2026, or by arrangement.
Your tasks
Worship services, home worship services, confirmation and religious education, ceremonies and
pastoral care in consultation and coordination with the entire team
Community development in the sense of a generational church
Pastoral visits in hospitals and nursing homes
You bring ideas and initiative to shape our church with fresh impulses
Collaboration at the level of ecumenism and alliance
Your profile
You are rooted in the Christian faith within the regional church and express this in your
basic attitude in interpersonal dealings
You dare to take creative and courageous paths in proclaiming the biblical message
You are team-oriented and proactive. You are open to new things and motivated to participate in and help shape participatory
processes
You succeed in building and maintaining relationships across generations.
You have organizational skills
You know how to shape church community work with joy and humor
You enjoy your profession, which is your calling
