At the Clinic for Equine Medicine of the Vetsuisse Faculty of the University of Zurich, a senior physician position (maternity cover, fixed-term) is to be filled from December 2025 to April 2026.
The employment level can be set individually and flexibly.
A subsequent permanent appointment to a regular senior physician position (60-100%) is possible if interested and suitably qualified (see separate advertisement).
Requirements:
Veterinarian
Completed residency program (board eligible) or board certification in Large Animal Internal Medicine (ACVIM) and/or Equine Internal Medicine (ECEIM)
Team player with sufficient clinical experience in the field of equine internal medicine.
Scope of duties:
Clinical work in the field of internal medicine (including neonatology, emergency and intensive care)
Participation in the theoretical and practical training of students, assistant veterinarians, interns and residents (ACVIM / ECEIM) in clinical operations
Emergency service at night and on weekends (on-call duty, including standby duty during foal season)
Salary/Employment:
The employment is based on university standards for senior physicians of the Vetsuisse Faculty of the University of Zurich, taking into account education and experience.
