On behalf of the municipalities, the Cantonal Social Services Office fulfills the task of providing social and addiction assistance to people and supports them in accessing economic social assistance. To this end, it manages eight regional social services in the canton’s regions. The Central Graubünden Regional Social Service is responsible for 25 municipalities, with a catchment area of 23,000 people.
For the Thusis location, we are looking for a social worker starting March 1, 2026 or by agreement.
- Solution- and resource-oriented social counseling for individuals and families
- Ensuring access to social insurance benefits as well as economic social assistance
- Advising on linguistic, professional, and social integration for recognized refugees and provisionally admitted persons as well as foreigners and/or
- Collaboration with social authorities and specialized services
- Other varied, interesting, and responsible activities
- Completed training as a social worker BSc/SUP
- Ability to work with people from different social backgrounds and/or cultural origins
- Consulting skills as well as specific knowledge of social assistance law and social insurance sector
- Friendliness, ability to handle intense work rhythms, team spirit, good communication, organizational, and administrative skills
- Ideally good knowledge of foreign languages
- Independent and solution-oriented working method
