To complete the team of cardio-respiratory physiotherapists, the Management of the Surgery and Heart-Vessels Departments (DC-DCV) is looking for a physiotherapist from January 2026 (or date to be agreed).
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The cardio-respiratory physiotherapy unit, attached to the surgery department (DC), provides cross-sectional activities in intermediate care and care units of the DC and the heart-vessels department (DCV) as well as in the intensive care units and emergency departments of the interdisciplinary centers department (DCI).
The cardio-respiratory physiotherapy team welcomes and cares for adult outpatients and hospitalized patients from various surgical disciplines, particularly in cardiac, vascular, thoracic, ENT, urology, visceral, septic surgery, and cardiology. In intensive care and emergency, physiotherapists manage patients from all disciplines.
Daytime shifts during weekends and holidays as well as an on-call duty from 5:15 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. (7/7) for the management of adult respiratory emergencies across the entire hospital campus are also performed by this team.
Mission
- You provide physiotherapy services in the various sectors (intermediate care and regular care) of the surgery and heart-vessels departments
- You apply clinical management mainly focused on the cardio-respiratory, musculoskeletal, and lymphatic systems.
Profile
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in physiotherapy or an equivalent title (with Swiss Red Cross recognition)
- You have experience or the desire to acquire skills in acute cardio-respiratory physiotherapy
- You have a strong interest in acute care
- You are motivated and dynamic.
