Your tasks

• Conducting Design-for-Excellence reviews considering production, assembly, service, and supply chain requirements.
• Performing Design-for-Cost analyses and deriving cost targets for assemblies and items.
• Evaluating design drafts regarding assembly times, complexity, and cost optimization.
• Defining replacement and wear parts as well as developing maintenance and repair concepts.
• Establishing test strategies to minimize risks through targeted application points of quality tests.
• Reducing variant diversity and complexity as well as optimizing assembly processes.
• Assessing manufacturing processes, materials, and tolerances to ensure production suitability.
• Developing concepts for transport, handling, and packaging under supply chain aspects.

Your profile

• Completed technical education with further training in mechanical engineering (e.g., technician HF, engineer FH) or B.Sc. in mechanical engineering.
• Several years of experience in production, engineering, assembly, or industrialization.
• Solid knowledge in implementing Design-for-Excellence.
• Experience in development or industrialization projects, ideally in an agile environment.
• Good knowledge of lean methods and process optimization.
• Experience with site relocations / relocation projects is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills, structured working style.
• Very good German skills as well as good English skills
