Collaborator Open Your Garden (irregular work, about 120h/year)
"Open Your Garden" is an innovative project linking precarious migrant people and residents who make part of their private garden available for vegetable gardening. The main objectives of the project are socialization, creating local connections, maintaining a healthy activity, and strengthening self-esteem. EPER is looking for people willing to open their garden and migrant people interested in gardening and then makes matches based on places of residence. The project makes about 7 such matches per year in the canton of Neuchâtel.
For the implementation of the project in the canton of Neuchâtel, EPER is recruiting from November 1, 2025 or by agreement a:
- Communication (mainly during the winter season)
- Communication with the network and public communities (registration of beneficiaries and search for gardens)
- Preparation of small communication materials
- Starting up the pairs and follow-up (mainly in spring)
- Calls to people interested in the project
- Appointments at the proposed garden locations
- Support for the pairs (occasional follow-up by phone)
- Other tasks related to project management:
- Preparation of small reports at the end of the season for reporting
- Coordination with the rest of the New Gardens team
- Master's degree in social sciences (or equivalent training)
- Good knowledge of the Neuchâtel social network
- Good writing skills
- Good command of office tools
- Proactive personality
- Ability to work independently
- Organizational skills and rigor
- Multicultural sensitivity and interest in social integration issues
