Intern
Graubünden Monument Service, Office of Culture | 80-100% | Chur
For the Monument Service section within the Office of Culture, we are looking for an intern starting March 1, 2026, or by agreement.
Tasks
- Opportunity to gain insight into consulting activities related to construction for subsidized projects
- Collaboration on the cantonal inventory of buildings (field surveys, literature analysis, image archiving, database entries)
- Research related to building inventories in connection with pending construction consulting cases
- Systematic analysis of secondary literature and existing partial inventories
- Opportunity to gain insight into spatial planning activities from the perspective of the Monument Service
- Contacts with various authorities, specialized services, and clients
What we expect from you
- You are an art historian, architect, historian, or geographer with a degree or a student in one of the mentioned fields of study
- Proven knowledge of the basics and technical terms of art-historical architecture
- Knowledge of the building substance of the canton is an advantage
- Good written expression skills in German. Knowledge of another cantonal language (Italian or Romansh) is welcome
- Commitment, ability to work in a team, and some mobility within the region
