Tasks
- Lead weekly choir rehearsals on Thursdays, excluding school holidays.
- Oversee 10-12 performances annually in a modern church setting.
- Coordinate with soloists and musicians for events and services.
Skills
- Experience in conducting choirs and working with amateurs preferred.
- Strong musical leadership and passion for choir singing.
- Familiarity with Catholic liturgy and collaborative spirit.

About the job
The church choir Rickenbach with around 20 motivated and enthusiastic members is looking for a choir director (20%) from August 2026 or by arrangement
With us you will find
- weekly choir rehearsals, currently on Thursday from 8:00 pm to 9:45 pm (except during school holidays)
- around 10 – 12 performances per year in church services and special church events in a surprisingly modern church
- choral singing with a diverse selection of choral literature
- the highlight of our annual program is the festive service on Ascension Day. On this occasion, we invite guest singers to join us for reinforcement.

- modern employment conditions according to the guidelines of the Roman Catholic cantonal church of Lucerne
Your profile
- musical leadership with joy in choral singing and working with amateur singers
- experience as a conductor for choir, soloists, and orchestra is an advantage
- piano accompaniment during rehearsals
- organization and engagement of soloists, instrumentalists, and organists
- familiarity with the liturgy of the Catholic Church
- willingness to collaborate with the choir board, organists, and pastoral team
