Your Tasks
Our palliative care unit has 8 beds and is certified by the national professional association palliative.ch. The care is specialized in the treatment and support of patients with complex and unstable medical conditions.
You share responsibility with the medical director for the medical care of the palliative care unit, the hospital-wide consultation service, and the outpatient clinic.
- You actively participate in both inpatient and outpatient areas
- You supervise and teach our assistant doctors and students and accompany them in their daily work and further education
- You are consultative in all clinics of the Lindenhof Group and also support the Mobile Palliative Service (MPD) Bern-Aare
- You participate in the ongoing development of our clinic's treatment guidelines and contribute to projects, even beyond hospital boundaries
Your Profile
- You hold a recognized specialist title - e.g., in General Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, Hematology Anesthesia, or a comparable qualification - or are close to completion
- You already have some experience in caring for palliative patients and ideally have completed basic training in Palliative Care (B1 to MAS)
- It is an advantage if you have already completed further training in the Interdisciplinary Focus on Palliative Care or are interested in obtaining it
- You are an integral personality with a high level of commitment, and professionalism and responsibility characterize you
- A high level of team orientation and pronounced social and communication skills complete your profile
