YOUR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Designing and conceptualizing brake systems as well as their integration into our rail vehicles
- Evaluating customer requirements and normative requirements for brake systems, developing the system architecture and its implementation
- Coordination between various departments (e.g., electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and software engineering)
- Supporting the technical evaluation of offers and supplier selection
- Performing calculations and simulations regarding braking distance and heat development
- Planning, conducting, and documenting system and type tests
- Optimizing systems including error analysis and troubleshooting with a special focus on control systems (e.g., brake control, anti-slip)
- Preparing offers in collaboration with product management
- Presenting technical solutions and leading technical discussions with customers and authorities
- Further development of brake systems in close cooperation with suppliers and product management
- Participation in committees for the strategic development of the department
YOUR PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
- Completed studies in electrical engineering, software engineering, vehicle technology, mechatronics, or comparable fields
- Practical experience in control engineering
- Knowledge in one of the areas of brake systems, pneumatics, or hydraulics is desired
- Initial experience in project management is an advantage
- High personal responsibility and reliability as well as strong communication and coordination skills
- Enjoy working in interdisciplinary teams
- Good German and English skills (level B2)
