We are the leading intercultural educational center for the topics: bridge offers, care, health, hospitality-housekeeping, social and childhood pedagogy, facility management, and further education. At the Department of Higher Vocational Schools, adults are trained in 2- to 3-year degree programs with qualifications in Social Pedagogy HF, Childhood Pedagogy HF, Facility Management HF, and Hospitality-Housekeeping Management FA. Students attend practice-oriented and competence-based modules with us from August to July each year. More than 50 lecturers teach and support over 500 students on their path to a successful tertiary qualification.
At the Department of Higher Vocational Schools of BFF Bern, we are looking for a qualified person from May 2026
Lecturer for the degree programs in Facility Management HF (BFM) and the course in Hospitality and Housekeeping Management (BLH). Main focus: Human Resources Management.

Tasks
- Classroom teaching in various classes with about 15 - 20 students each.
- Planning and conducting online teaching via Microsoft Teams (about 10% of the workload).
- Creating and evaluating competency assessments.
- Collaboration in developments in the BFM/BLH area and at the HF department.
May – July 2026: 6 x 4 lessons, each Wednesday morning
Afterwards, classes take place on Thursday and Friday mornings in the second semester, and again 6x on Wednesday mornings in the first semester.
Requirements
- You have a tertiary-level degree in Human Resources Management or related disciplines.
- You bring several years of professional experience in Human Resources Management.
- Ideally, you have a solid methodological-didactic training for the tertiary level and teaching experience.
- You have an equivalent qualification or are willing to complete it alongside your teaching duties.
- You are familiar with the professional field of Facility Management or Hospitality-Housekeeping or are willing to acquire knowledge in these areas.
- You are interested in promoting comprehensive learning processes for students with diverse educational and professional backgrounds.
- You act as a communicative and integrative personality and can easily approach different people.
