We welcome you to three exceptional locations situated within the former Bellevue Hotel in Glion, enjoying a spectacular view of Lake Geneva and the Alps. This 19th-century building, overlooking Montreux and the Vaud Riviera, has been at the heart of the prestigious Glion Hotel Management School since 1962. This unique setting houses the Michelin-starred gourmet restaurant and its lounge bar, as well as a contemporary bistro. The dining room of the gourmet restaurant and the magnificent bar, classified as a historical heritage site, skillfully combines modernity, chic, and Belle Époque spirit. The bistro area, meanwhile, has a decidedly contemporary tone and adjoins the gourmet restaurant.

Job Description

AS A SOMMELIER: 

• You are responsible for the smooth running of the service and ensure personalized reception and service quality for our clientele. 
• You offer well-balanced food and wine pairings and provide relevant advice to our customers.
• You have a thorough knowledge of the wine list to meet customer expectations.
• Participate in cellar management and the development of beverage menus under the responsibility of the head sommelier.
• Apply the establishment's service procedures and standards.      

Qualifications

• Ideally trained in hospitality, you have significant experience of at least 2/3 years in a similar Michelin-starred position and establishment.
• You have excellent presentation and good interpersonal skills. 
• You are motivated, have a keen sense of organization and teamwork. 
• Fluency in English is mandatory.
• Start date: Early May to be agreed upon
