What's the role?
Kickstart your career by helping us innovate power tools! We're seeking an intern who is eager to dive into lithium-ion battery technology, leveraging chemistry and electrochemical understanding to create safer, more efficient lithium-ion batteries. You'll gain hands-on experience working at Hilti as part of our battery research team, actively supporting our research projects
Start date is flexible and depends on your availability. Full-time with minimum of 6 months.
What does the role involve?
You’ll be part of our interdisciplinary battery team, working on the latest lithium-ion battery technology. You’ll work closely with our experts focusing on battery research and development. Your key responsibilities involve different tasks within the following topics: investigation of latest commercial Li-ion cells, improving our current testing methods, conducting advanced experimental tests, and analyzing and reporting your findings.
What you need is:
- Pursuing a Bachelor or master’s degree in chemistry, materials science or similar during the entire internship period.
- Hands-on experience in a laboratory setting is required (e.g., working with gloveboxes).
- Basic electrochemistry understanding and initial experience in data analysis (e.g., MATLAB) would be beneficial.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for contributing to a dynamic and stimulating international team.
- Troubleshooting skills and a self-reliant personality are highly valued.
