To strengthen our operations division MPP3 Mono Plants at the Visp, Switzerland site, we are looking for a dedicated, strong leadership, and responsible personality as Shift Leader.
In this key role, you take on the technical and personnel leadership of your shift team and ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality plant operation. You act as the central interface between production, engineering, and management and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of our processes.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
Personnel responsibility for the assigned shift team as well as active support of the operations management team in team development
Responsibility for structured onboarding as well as the technical and personal development of employees
Ensuring smooth shift operations including organization and coordination of all arising work orders as well as ensuring proper shift handover
Leadership and deployment planning of the team considering orders, priorities, break and absence management
Ensuring contact and coordination with external parties in case of incidents (e.g., porter, on-call service, fire department)
Ensuring proper implementation of all work in the assigned work area in compliance with applicable regulations in the areas of safety, environmental protection, and quality
Qualifications and experience:
High commitment to strengthening and actively promoting the safety culture
At least 5–10 years of experience as deputy shift leader or plant specialist in chemical production or service companies as well as solid knowledge in handling process control systems
Ideally completed CPT or CPP training (formerly certified operator) or willingness to complete it
Motivation and willingness to work shifts (including night and weekend work)
Openness to new technologies as well as continuous professional and personal development
Committed, flexible, and independent working style with high reliability
Strong social skills and ability to work in a team
