<p><div>Your Responsibility</div><br><ul><li>You support the University Management in participation management of the cantonally funded universities and research institutions with a focus on the University of Basel.</li><li>You draft government and parliamentary submissions, prepare detailed analyses in the higher education sector, and support the University Management in economic and legal issues.</li><li>You create professionally sound briefings and reports, conduct thematic research, and prepare appealing presentations, fact sheets, and minutes.</li><li>You take on general tasks within the main department and collaborate with other units of the BMH service office.</li><li>You write professional assessments related to Interreg, the European Union's regional program to promote cross-border cooperation.</li></ul></p><br><p><div>Your Background</div><br><ul><li>University degree at master’s level or equivalent and strong interest in higher education policy</li><li>Knowledge of the Swiss higher education landscape and research funding system</li><li>High understanding of political and economic contexts and decision-making processes</li><li>Solid numerical understanding, excellent analytical skills, and a networked way of thinking</li><li>Precise and above-average oral and written communication skills, confident and professional appearance</li></ul>Organizational talent and skills in coordinating complex work processes<ul><li>Strong team orientation and high social competence</li><li>Proactive thinking, service orientation, and willingness to perform</li></ul></p><br><p><div>For questions about the position</div><br>Viviane Blatter<br/>Scientific MA Main Department Universities (Position Holder)<br/>061 552 28 78</p><br><p>The Vocational Education, Secondary Schools and Universities Office (BMH) is an office of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports (BKSD) of the Canton Basel-Landschaft. The BMH office is responsible for the strategic and operational development of the post-compulsory school level at the cantonal level. It exercises supervisory functions over the institutions assigned to it and ensures cross-level, career-oriented coordination.</p><br>
