Manufacturing Engineering Technician (m/f/d)

Location: Hägendorf

Contract type: permanent

YOUR TASKS:

• Process development for CNC long turning machines in collaboration with production and experts for post-processing processes
• Programming, setup, and optimization on CNC long turning machines
• Independent creation and optimization of CNC programs, including selection of suitable tools and machining strategies
• Active support of production staff with technical issues
• Creation and maintenance of setup documents, process descriptions, and work instructions
• Preparation and conducting of training on processes, materials, and equipment of long turning machines
• Identification and implementation of process improvements (Lean Six Sigma)
• Conducting tests, studies, and experiments (e.g., tool studies, capability analyses)
• Review of complex drawings for compliance, accuracy, and technical feasibility.

YOU WILL REPORT TO:

Process Engineering Supervisor

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least 3 years of experience in programming CNC lathes, ideally with Fanuc and Winflex controls (e.g., Star, Traub, Miyano, Maier)
• Ideally experience in a highly regulated industry such as medical technology.
• Very good IT skills, especially in handling Microsoft Office, SAP, and CAM systems such as «Mastercam»
• Solid experience in ISO programming of CNC long turning machines
• Completed technical training
• Fluent German skills, English at least basic knowledge
